All StoryMaps must align with the theme "Tourism of Sri Lanka", highlighting the country's Cultural Heritage, Natural Wonders, Adventure Tourism, Coastal Beauty, Hidden Attractions or Other attractions.

Participants may create and submit their StoryMaps in Sinhala, English, or Tamil. Multilingual submissions are also welcome.

Guidelines for original content and proper attribution:

• Each submission must be the participant's own original creation
• Participants are encouraged to use their own photographs, videos, and content
• If using external resources, proper credit must be given to the original author or source
• Do not use any material that is marked as copyrighted, restricted, or "not for reuse" without explicit permission

Requirements for restricted or protected sites:

• If your StoryMap includes restricted, protected, or archaeological sites, ensure prior approval from relevant authorities
• Mention the obtained permissions clearly within your StoryMap where applicable

Quality and appropriateness requirements:

• All submissions must be respectful, factual, and appropriate for a public audience
• Content containing misinformation, offensive language, or inappropriate visuals will be disqualified

Submissions will be judged based on:

• Creativity and storytelling quality
• Relevance to the theme
• Effective use of maps and visuals
• Accuracy and credibility of information

GIS Solutions (Pvt) Ltd will award winners with valuable prizes, certificates, and public recognition on official platforms.

GIS Solutions (Pvt) Ltd reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates these rules or modify the terms of the competition if necessary.
